Galleries Relocated onto the main domain

Tagless Galleries are now located on the primary host for tagless.com and not on the old galleries subdomain.Â I was working with lots of different thing back when I first setup the galleries so things were changing rapidly.Â This led me to keep them off the main site.Â Now that I’ve been running the same stuff for over a year,Â I’m willing to bring the galleries site back where it should be so that analytics works fine.

New Galleries from the Zoo, Jacksonville, and February pics

I posted a number of pictures last week in the Tagless Galleries.Â There are pictures from The Portland Zoo,Â The Hiking trails outside of Jacksonville,Â and the February Animal Pictures and Random Pictures.

New Galleries

I added three new galleries this week.Â The first is pictures from the recent snow storms.Â The other two galleries are related.Â Instead of adding to galleries for each animal and trying to get the page numbers right on the links, I’m just going to create a gallery a month for pictures of the animalsÂ and Other Random Pictures of the Month.

There should be new galleries up in a few days.Â I just downloaded 534 images from the camera and after initial elimination am down to 194.Â That’s only 43% of the original which is a good first round reduction.

Black Hills Porter in the Carboy

Always check the clock before you begin brewing. Last night I started a new batch of Black Hills Porter and didn’t realize that the time was about 9:45 when I popped the yeast pack. I didn’t get to bed until 2am and I pitched the yeast when it was to hot without realizing it.

The top of the carboy felt really good and so I pitched the yeast. Afterwards I felt the bottom of the carboy and it was quite hot. Just over 100 degrees I’d guess. This afternoon things are going well on the fermentation, but it’s not nearly as quick as it should be going.

Update: On 12/31 the beer was racked to a secondary carboy as most visual action inside the carboy has ceased.

New Tagless Site in the works

I’ve got a new site in the works.Â It’s almost complete and once it’s done will allow me to post narratives along with the images contained in Tagless Galleries.Â It’s testing now and should be up in another week or two.Â If you’ve ever wanted to learn what my thoughts and plans were as well as some of the challenges that I’ve had to deal with, then this service will be for you.

Christmas Tree Hunting Trip

Last weekend Melissa and I went Christmas tree hunting up in the woods. Pictures are in the Tagless Galleries in the 2007 Christmas Tree Hunt Gallery.Â We drove out to the end of the road and hiked up the hill from there.Â This was my first time out there and I didn’t realize the watershed extended that far east.

More remodel pictures from the Fourth street bathroom

I put more pictures online today. These are from the master bathroom remodel. I pulled the shower and replaced it as well as the floor. You can see the pictures in the Bathroom remodel Gallery. I’ve still got a few pictures to find and post that show the final state.

Pool light repair pictures uploaded

The pictures from fixing the pool light are now online in the Pool Light Fix Gallery. One more reason to be careful with the advice you get from so called professionals in the field. All said the project cost me about 150 in concrete, rentals, and tools. The quote to have it repaired was $950. The time was significant on this project. I cut into the concrete Friday at 5pm and worked till 9pm Friday, all day Saturday, and all day Sunday to have the hole filled with dirt. After a few days to dry out and settle, I poured the concrete Wednesday morning.
